But that's just one episode. There are certain recurring plot devices that The Walking Dead continuously rehashes to the point that they are now starting to reek more than the zombies that occasionally appear on the show. If this season of The Walking Dead wants to continue being surprising and exciting, it needs to avoid the following storytelling crutches it's been leaning on since Rick stumbled out of that hospital five years ago.
The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 2 Cracked
Even when she discovers that The Governor tried to have her former best friend Michonne killed, Andrea still willingly has sex with him and refuses to take him out, which results in him feeding her to zombies a few episodes later. It's not like this is a difficult puzzle to solve -- Andrea in the comics is a strong, assertive character that doesn't do any of that bullshit. They could have literally just copied her verbatim from the source material, if it weren't for the apparent "irrational moron" quota the showrunners have to make each season.
Ever since I wrote a list of the top 10 best episodes of The Walking Dead according to IMDB last year, I knew that at some point I was going to write a follow-up about the 10 worst. But when I went to go look at the stats, I found something interesting, a full four of the top 10 slots are taken up by season 7 episodes. And conversely, no season 7 episode has cracked the old top 10 list yet, which remains unchanged.
It's hard to believe that we're already two episodes away from the midseason finale. So far, The Walking Dead Season 9 has been a vital breath of fresh air. Let's hope that The Walking Dead can continue to provide this level of quality in Andrew Lincoln's absence.
What did you think about "Who Are You Now"? Did you miss Rick during the episode? Are you happy with the overall direction of the season? What are your thoughts on the introduction of the Whisperers?
In fact, the company released a list today it believes contains the exact episode in the first seasons of 25 different series, where the viewer got hooked and had to finish through to the end (of season 1, that is.)
The Walking Dead: World Beyond's Huck/Jennifer Mallick is able to crack her mother, Elizabeth's, safe in season 2 episode 5 "Quartervois." This allows her to find documents related to the destruction of the Omaha settlement that exposes Elizabeth's orchestration of the atrocity. It is not clear how she is able to figure out the code. However, a certain item shown in her mother's office may hold the answer.
Throughout season 1, Huck works as a double agent for Elizabeth, ensuring that she safely transports Hope to a rendevous where Elizabeth can bring her to the CRM's main base. In season 2, she is trying her best to get Hope to trust her while doubting whether she is doing the right thing by working for her mother. It isn't until season 2 episode 5 that all of that changes. After craking Elizabeth's safe, Huck finds papers that prove that the CRM destroyed Omaha. This causes her to completely lose trust in her mother and ultimately confide in Leo about her plan to turn on the CRM.
Though not outright confirmed in season 2 episode 5, it seems that the code may be the date of Huck's father's birthday. What supports this is how there is a close-up of her father's face after she tries out several different combos on the safe. This cuts back to Huck, who puts in the right combination following what appears to be a recollection.
Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 is a 16-part web series based on the television series Fear the Walking Dead. The series premiered on October 4, 2015, on AMC's official website. It also aired as promos during The Walking Dead's sixth season. The web series tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. Over the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler. Two of its characters, Alex (Michelle Ang) and Jake (Brendan Meyer), are introduced in Fear the Walking Dead season two, episode three, "Ouroboros".[1]
The end is here for The Walking Dead. Currently wrapping up its eleventh and final season, the long-running series is preparing to literally ride off into the sunset this weekend with Daryl Dixon and and Carol Peletier after a 12-year run on AMC. Despite being set in a world overrun by walking corpses, The Walking Dead (based on the comic by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard) actually outlived the network's other prestige television programs like Breaking Bad, Halt and Catch Fire, Low Winter Sun, and Into the Badlands.
He wrote a bunch of phrases like that on walls at his community. When Carol first comes to The Kingdom on season seven, episode two, Morgan wheels her by a wall with the phrase, "Hope is the North star, let it guide you," on her way to meet the king.
Aaron lost part of his left arm on the second episode of the season and it immediately made us think he's taking on part of the role of comic-book Rick Grimes. In the comics, Rick loses his right arm when the Governor cuts it off. It's then replaced by a less fancy prosthetic.
The older Henry is seen practicing fighting with a stick soon after on the episode. That's something Morgan taught him and his older, deceased brother Benjamin. It's almost a direct callback to when we saw Benjamin practicing last season.
When the first part of Ties That Bind set up a lot of possibilities for the rest of the season, I assumed it would take a couple episodes to really pay off. I was pleasantly surprised by Ties That Bind Part 2, as a large number of the questions Episode 1 raised were addressed, with some questions being given even more depth to be explored in future parts.
Still, spinoffs or no, this is a fairly big moment in genre TV history. First premiering on Halloween night 2010, The Walking Dead was an instant ratings success for AMC and remained as such for much of its 11 seasons. It helped usher in a new era of fandom-friendly television for its network (which was coming off big prestige hits like Mad Men and Breaking Bad) and helped bring zombies back into the mainstream. With the 24th episode of its 11th season, The Walking Dead will finally be calling it quits.
The final five minutes of the episode on The Walking Dead make it worse, as the group tried desperately to save him, but he still passes on. We end with him being buried, and Sasha standing over the grave of her dead brother, gone. Just like that. Truly terrible.
Final thoughts 8.0Characters are evolving rather than becoming parodies of themselvesLots of great zombie-killing actionInteresting story seeds being sownTheme of being detached from things got hammered home way too muchPacing was abruptly slower than what we had become accustomed to in Season 4The theme of detachment was a little over done, but otherwise, this was a pretty solid episode. I liked how it set up that things were in a nice routine, especially after the manic pace at the end of last season.

Season 2 picks up on New Year's Eve, in the same year as the first season. As we saw in the two Euphoria special episodes on Rue (Zendaya) and Jules (Hunter Schafer) respectively, Rue relapsed after Jules left town. She has since returned after her dad dragged her back and is seeing a (very good) therapist. Meanwhile, Rue has been having some long, deep talks with her NA sponsor Ali, though she continues to use drugs (and has found a new enabler in Dominic Fike's Elliot).
By the end of the first episode of season 2, Rue and Jules seem to (temporarily) be working out their feelings in a way that allows their romance to blossom. But Hunter Schafer basically told fans not to get too comfortable with the positive steps.
Plus, Jules has plenty to work out on her own. Her special episode (which Hunter co-wrote and co-produced) was one of the series' strongest yet, painting a nuanced picture of who Jules is and who she wants to be. The way she processes gender and femininity is continuously evolving, and in season one she gets to a point where doesn't want to center men in her identity. It'll be excited to see how that journey continues in season 2.
Musician Dominic Fike enters his first acting project as Elliot in Euphoria season 2, a new classmate and friend first to Rue, and then to Jules. He and Rue first meet at a party in episode one, when she catches him doing drugs on the washing machine; they subsequently get high together, and when Rue teeters on the edge of an overdose, Elliot saves her life.
In the first episode of season 2, we finally get some major background about Angus Cloud's compassionate, drug-dealing Fezco, who up until now has been shrouded in a fair amount of mystery. We knew he took care of his bed-ridden grandmother and his little brother Ashtray while running the convenience store and its side business, but we didn't know what led up to all of that.
Also making an appearance in episode one of season 2 is Algee Smith, reprising his role as McKay, a college freshman and football player who dated Cassie in season one until they fought over Cassie's pregnancy. 2ff7e9595c
